Kia ora Te Akau ki Papamoa is a decile 4 school situated in the heart of Papamoa on Doncaster Drive. The school was opened in 1999 to cater for population growth in Papamoa. We have a roll of approximately 440 students and 40 staff here at our school. We also have located on our site, our very own radio station TAKP 107.6fm. Each morning we have Te Reo Maori lessons, where all classrooms tune in to the Radio station and listen to the Te Reo lessons from their own class radio. At the end of each lesson we sing the Happy Birthday song in Te Reo Maori for the students who are celebrating their birthday. During this time parents, staff members and students are listening in, they particularly enjoy the birthday shout outs. We currently only have two other business’ that we advertise over our Radio station. They sponsor our TAKP weather report and Prizes alike. We would like to invite you to come on board and take part of a Commercial add for the “Safekids Creative Quest” We believe that with Tiki Taane involved in our Commercial add for “Safekids Creative Quest” will help raise the awareness.Over our radio station we would potentially increase the number of listeners for and for our school. Our word would spread among the 440 families within our school. Hey Tiki Just listened to your song "Fallen Angels"... sittin here with tears streaming down my cheeks. Beautiful song. Looking forward to seeing you in Masterton.... special date for me 18 months since I lost my fallen angel daughter Ceri to suicide.... so will be a brill way to honour her be seeing you that day and having a dance for her.
